Shuan Liu

Shuan Liu is a Year 12 student at Pinehurst School. She has been learning the piano since the age of six and is currently studying with Bryan Sayer and Jian Liu. She has also recently begun lessons with Rae de Lisle. Shuan has achieved highly in many national and local competitions across New Zealand, gaining second prize in the 2018 Wallace National Junior Piano Competition and in the Auckland Secondary Schools Piano Competition. Shuan has won numerous Institute of Registered Music Teachers Scholarships (Auckland Branch), the most recent being the Mary Nathan Memorial Scholarship. Shuan accompanies the amateur choir, Pohutukawa Singers, and plays the cello as a second instrument.
