Daniel TanAge: 25 born Melbourne / lives Melbourne
Daniel graduated from Monash University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours) and Commerce. Studying with Elizabeth Sellars and Sophie Rowell, he was the recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Concertmaster Scholarship, Anna Chmiel Memorial Trust Fund Prize and the Monash Scholarship for Excellence. Further study has included stints at the Aspen Music Festival and the New York University Summer Strings Program. Daniel has appeared as a soloist with the Grainger Wind Symphony and as a finalist in the Margaret Sutherland Bursary Competition, Monash Concerto and Aria Competition and as a semi-finalist at the Kendall National Violin Competition.
