Yunesang YuneAge: 22 born Seongnam / lives Auckland
Yunesang recently graduated from the University of Auckland, studying Classical Performance Flute (BMUS) under Emeritus Prof. Uwe Grodd. She has won numerous awards and titles including the Anne Tolley New Zealand Woodwind Player Award at the 2018 Gisborne International Music Competition, winner of the 2017 Tauranga Performing Arts Competition, and winner of the PACANZ 2017 Competition making her an ILT National Young Performer. Striving to be a rounded young musician, Yunesang has been active in her orchestral playing, performing with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra numerous times as a recipient of the APO Orchestral Internship program (mentored by Emma Gerstein), and has made solo debuts with the St Matthew’s Chamber Orchestra (Brandenburg Concerto No.4) and the Korean community orchestra - Love and Peace (Mozart Flute Concerto in G K.313).
