Jessica Jenkins

Jess Jenkins is a 17 year old violinist in her final year at Tawa College. Having busked from when she first picked up a violin at the age of seven years old to fund her and her five younger siblings' music lessons, school fees and countless sporting endeavours, Jess has always loved performing. Her past teachers include Elizabeth Sneyd and Julia Joyce, and is currently learning with Donald Armstrong. She has been a member of numerous ensembles, including the Wellington Youth Orchestra, the New Zealand Secondary Schools Symphony Orchestra and groups for the NZCT Chamber Music Contest. She is passionate about the cultural arts and ensuring the taonga of classical music is preserved for generations to come.
