Jacky Siu

New Zealand cellist JACKY SIU completed his Bachelor of Music under James Tennant at the University of Waikato. Whilst at the Waikato Conservatorium, he won the ROSL Chamber Music Scholarship; performed as concerto soloist in the Auckland Town Hall, recitalist at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Lake District Summer School; and collaborated with the Atea Wind Quintet. Jacky has completed Fellowships for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and has since worked regularly for both orchestras. In 2018, Jacky graduated
with a Masters in Performance with Distinction under Adrian Brendel, from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Jacky successfully auditioned for the 2017 –2018 LSO String Experience Scheme and has since continued to play with the LSO as a freelancer.
