Louis Lucas-Perry

Louis Lucas-Perry has been learning the piano since the age of 10. He has performed many concerts in both the Nelson and Wellington regions including appearances with the Nelson Symphony Orchestra, performing Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Grieg’s Piano Concerto and also the first movement of Tchaikovsky’s first Piano Concerto. Louis gained a Bachelor’s degree from Victoria University of Wellington under the guidance of Jian Liu and received both the Expressions Piano Trust Prize and also the NZSM Director’s Scholarship. Louis also accompanies the Nelson Male Voice Choir and the Motueka High School choirs. He is currently studying with Richard Mapp and wishes to pursue a career in classical music on the world stage.
